Im using USMC for Example:
-
Rifleman (M16, M67 Frag Grenades, smoke grenades, knife)
-
Auto-Rifleman (M249 SAW or M240B, Ammo bags, knife)
-
Grenadier (M16-M203, knife)
-
Corpsman (M16, Medpack, Shock Paddles, maybe smoke grenades, knife)
-
STA Sniper (M24, M40, or M14, 9mm, knife)
-
Javelin Gunner (Javelin, and MP5 or M4 or w/e is realsitic, knife)
-
Combat Engineer (Whatever gun is realsitic, C4, Mines, Claymores, Wrench, knife)
AS for Alternative guns im for it, having the ability to choose M240 or M249 would rock, as well as other weapons/kits.
Instead of having an actual special forces class (Force Recon with Marines), I think they should have their own maps like somewhat was done in PR but with CSAR. Force Recon should get their own maps, where they have to infiltrate some place and blow some cache, or destroy AA so planes can bomb the area, or whatever. They shouldn't be involved in with the normal Marines like they are in BF2. Your average squad dosn't have a Riflemen, Grenadier, Corpsman, and then some uber Force Recon guy. They focus on their own missions, with their own team. They should be seperated from the rest of the Marines.
Besides those I was also thinking of seperate ones. Those would be squad classes, however there should be seperate ones including an Avaitor class and Tank Crewmember class. With these two classes, you should either only be albe to enter their specific vehicles if you have them or make it so they have a hudge advantage over the other classes. (Avaitor has parachute, Tank Crewmember has wrech) Something along those lines.
