Currently there are a few issues that need to be cleaned up w/ ..066--specifically dedicated server support, PLA/MEC mobile AA causing a crash to desktop and the thingypit damage model on the Cobra (and some other air vehicles).
IMHO if you guys can get these problems fixed then you should consider releasing then next version (perhaps .067) and save any of the big stuff (coding, modeling, etc) for later releases. Perhaps a .066 hot-fix release or something along those lines where your mod can get more exposure and more feedback from player vs player combat.
I'd love to be able to drop vanilla BF2 in a heartbeat and I strongly believe the mod is in a good enough state to promote a mass release on mainstream websites (Fileplanet, etc) once you get the above issues resolved.
Whatever you guys decided to do--keep up the good work.
